Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know that British royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton were married this morning at Westminster Abbey. The ceremony, of course, was lovely and plenty of celebrities (including Posh and Becks) were on the scene, but let’s get to the part we Ecouterreans really want to talk about: Kate Middelton’s royal wedding dress! The new Mrs. Windsor looked beautiful in a lace-sleeved, classic white wedding gown that had more than a few nods to fellow princess Grace Kelly’s wedding dress. The double-super-secret designer? Sarah Burton, who was assistant and protege to iconic British fashion designer Alexander McQueen for many years and now helms the brand. We were particularly excited about the quintessentially British details we spied, including locally hand-embroidered tulle and needlework.

Vem saknar inte: Alexander McQueen men teamet bakom och numera ansvariga för modehuset gjorde en underbar, enkel och vacker klänning underledning av: Sarah Burton.

PG undrar så klart fortfarande vem som gjorde skorna och varför det inte fanns någon handväska. Vi beklagar att vi inte fått fram den infon.

Second Life Vs. IRL: The Royal Wedding Prince William & Catherine Middleton

Hej jag heter Tina och är fd ägarinna till denna bloggen. Inför det Kungliga bröllopet i UK, Great Britain - i morgon Fredag så bad man mig göra ett inhopp med råd inför händelsen.

Jag antog inbjudan. För bröllop är något alldeles extra. Se detta som ett unikt undantag!



Inför morgondagens bröllop mellan Catherine Middleton & Prince William i Lundun så tänker jag på hatt.... I England bär man hatt om man skall möta de Kungliga. Eller om man skall gå på något viktigt. T ex ett kungligt bröllop. Sanningen är mer man tar alla chanser att bära hatt!

Och skall man ha hatt så tycker jag den skall vara extrem, synas, ta för sig, vara annorlunda och vackert designad av en designer med stil!

Och alla kan bära hatt det är bara att börja-)) (öva)

Jag själv är förtjust i sk... hattar om ni missat något så väsentligt! När jag är i Lundun tar jag mig alltid en titt på (LÄNK):- ”Philip Treacy” - helst på underbara klassiska Fenwick (Bond Street) alternativt på Harrods. Men vad kan man finna i vårt egna Second Life då? Inför morgondagens fest?

PASSWORD svarar jag!

Vi har snart password på varenda ställe i alla våra världar vi är i - och det med all rätt? Inte nog med att komma ihåg portkoden för att komma in där man bor eller koden till larmet eller - eller..

I vårt Second Life har vi det med. På www.secondlife.com - skall vi logga in med ett password och när vi skall ”in world” skall vi logga in med ett password och har vi ett PayPal knutet till - vad som - har vi ett password.

Och då nämner jag inte alla till våra konton och kreditkort och.. mer suck.

Och det har hänt tidigare - även på Second Lifes hemsida detta med: ”phishing attempt” = (steal your password). Och vad nu er bank kommer att göra ev ersätta er med så är det aldrig roligt att bli av med ett password - eller hur? En osäkerhetskänsla sprider sig inom en - en gnagande känsla.

Jo jag har blivit av med password så jag vet! Jag har även bytt kontokort efter resor för att jag (och banken) ansett att de skulle bytas.

Detta skall ni läsa NU om ”phishing attempt” (LÄNK): - ”Spammers are disseminating a new illegal SL client under my name [UPDATED AGAIN]” - och sen även detta (LÄNK): - ”Warning: Gwyneth Llewelyn Name Abused With Contraband "Neil Life" Viewer” - och sen skall ni tänka på hur ert password är skapat och var ni använder det.. ni och vi alla skall med andra ord ha fler password!

Det ÄR faktiskt så att när ni loggar in via viewern (för att komma in i ert Second Life) skriver ni in ert password (måste göra) och en illvillig person som gör en egen viewer kan då på ett för mig okänt sätt ”komma över” våra password! - mer om det i båda länkarna ovan.

Vilket så klart är detsamma som att inte använda okända viewers till var som - eller ditt vanliga password på okända sidor.. som vanlig gäller ”tänk efter före”!

Jag kommer även att skriva om att dela med sig av sina rättigheter ”in world” för där delar man även med sig av ansvaret för den som får rättigheter kanske gör något DU inte vill - men i o m att du delat ut dem är du delskyldigt till allt som kan hända! - men det tar vi i ett annat inlägg inom någon dag!

Vi fick detta tipset från en läsare som vill dela med sig:

Don`t panic, your stuff is all safe on the LL database, it is just not loading properly from your cache for whatever reason.
Clearing your cache will force it to reload from te database and then it should be fine.
TP to Smith (things load faster there) clear your cache and relog back onto Smith.
Stay there under the water, open your inventory and apart from typing in the inventory search bar, to prompt reloading, do not do anything else until your inventory is fully reloaded.

Duktig DJ fyller år, disco Earth återuppstår!

Idag gratulerar vi treåringen Jazon som är DJ i sl och irl på sin sl födelsedag. Jazon som många av oss i gruppen som tar hand om den här bloggen känner för att vara den duktige DJn bakom discot EARTH som startade på Malmö simmarna.

Projektledaren för Malmö i SL Grethe har skrivit att hon haft ett stort antal intensiva brevväxlingar med bl a Kay, Maffe, Joakim Jardenberg (internetguru) och Ulrika Rudkvist om Malmö, Earth, barnavor mm. Därefter togs beslutet om Malmö´s nedläggning.

I had no recourse other than the mercy of the person who bought my land. I spent two days believing I had lost my land forever. I wasn't even able to enter the property - it was surrounded by red ban lines that blocked anyone but the new owners from entering. In the end, the buyer sold me the land back for the eight cents she paid for it, but only after taunting me by threatening not to.

Bloggens läsare har minskat något. Men några läsare är mer aktiva så antalet minuter online har ökat drastiskt. Mest tack vare en läsare från Göteborg. Som lägger ned timmar varje dag på att läsa våra inlägg. Men även från Stockholm, Örebro, xxx och xxx finns det läsare som lägger ned väldigt mycket tid varje dag.

Vi är glada och tacksamma för att vi läses och tackar er alla läsare.

Och vi alla hoppas att vad vi gör uppskattas. Alla av oss är inte vana bloggare även om en har en helt egen. Men vi försöker. och vi skall bli bättre.

I slutet av denna månad skall vi mötas och utvärdera vad vi tycker om att blogga på denna bloggen vi har ”övertagit” från en av de allra största.
Har ni synpunkter och råd till oss så är ni välkomna att skriva dem i kommentarer till detta inlägg.

PG kommer även hon att tillfrågas hur hon ser på sin fd blogg och vi kommer igen att fråga om hon inte vill vara en av oss alla. Det vill många fler än vi. PG kom tillbaka!

Sverige är stort i SL. Men så hemligt

Sverige minskar skriks det ut på var och var annan svensk blogg. Silent night upphör. Det är så dyrt. För dyrt. Vi med skriker. Men hur många svenska simmar finns det inte utöver Silent Night?
Privata. Öppna eller dolda.
Vi vet att både W, L&O, F&S, S, T, N, G&B, A, B&A&C, G har privata simmar. Det är fler än de uppräknade. Sen har ett flertal 1/4, 1/8, 1/2 simmar i SL. Vilka välkomnar gäster? FÅ.
Varför?

Allt är så dyrt sägs. Men många har simmar.

Och om ingen vill betala för sitt Secondlife så kan man inte få allt heller. Är vår gemensamma inställning. Samma IRL.

Vad vi vet är att alla är välkomna till morgonkaffe på Solace island. Alla verkar vara välkomna till Silent innan den försvinner för alltid. Nu med tivoli som tema läser vi på Walles, m fl bloggar. ”IBM just announced that it will remove its three "Exhibition" sims from Second Life on May 1st, continuing a larger withdrawal from SL that began in earnest last year. Once Second Life's largest corporate booster, for several years IBM maintained a large virtual campus in SL comprised of dozens of sims which even had its own employee avatar guidelines, and in its heyday, was the site of an international labor protest. Without fanfare (or any public announcement I'm aware of), however, that campus was closed in early 2010. As of this writing, I can only find less than 20 IBM-branded sims in Second Life, and most of them seem to be associated with specific department projects or regional divisions (for example, Italy and Singapore.)”

Vi vet att Walentine (Gazov) sägs ha grovt förtalat och sägs spridit osanna rykten kring denna bloggs första ägarinna men det får de två och Walentines grupp av vänner sköta själva. Vi vill och vågar inte som de flesta andra ogärna lägga oss i det bråket som Walentine nu skriver skall vara över.

Just a quiet little machinima for the University of Western Australia. For this I was wondering if I could make a type of connection between the music and the fading in and out of the poetry. To see if the viewer would subconsciously change their own breathing to match the rhythm. The poem is really just about watching someone go. Having a brief moment to say or do something to change their mind, yet instead remaining silent because the words won't come. Then forever searching for them in everyone else.

"Silver Bells and Golden Spurs is the screen adaptation of an anonymous cowboy poem by the same name, and tells the story of a showdown between two bad guys during the days of the Wild West.

A gunslinger enters a bustling mining town looking for a local bad guy and killer, and finds him drawn up to the bar in a local saloon. After singling him out, the two men exchange threats and make bets on who's the quicker draw. Both men draw and fire, but for the outcome, you must watch the movie!

This production serves Linden Lab as both a proof of concept piece and a marketing tool, and was created in their real-time virtual world called Second Life. Every clip in the timeline is straight capture, and there are no post-production compositing or effects; only basic dissolves, titling and audio effects.

To date, Silver Bells and Golden Spurs is the most aggressive production of a new genre called Machinima: the process and practice of making movies using game engines and metaverse technology. All of the assets for this movie were made in real-time, involving Second Life users from Canada, Scotland, the United States, and Australia. Every character in these scenes represents a real actor somewhere in the world; Second Life does not support autonomous actors, and video output is captured in real-time. This movie was produced the same way motion pictures are, from concept to final cut." -- provided by Eric Call.

Ten whole days of commerce, special events, live music concerts, exclusive items auctions, RFL ribbon hunts and fundraising to benefit Relay for Life and the fight against cancer.

We are running a bit behind for our March issue, but have managed to pack it full of goodness to make up for the time lost.
