Vi minns att redan 2006, 07, 08 osv PG brukade sända ut notecards om att medlemmarna i hennes stora grupp för svenskar måste inse att Secondlife påverkar oss. Mer än vi tror.

NU 2011 kommer boken: Book: Virtual avatars have real impact

”The experiences people have in virtual worlds such as Second Life influence their behavior in real life, according to a new book.

“There are consequences of spending 20 hours weekly using an avatar in a virtual reality,” said Jeremy Bailenson, co-author of Infinite Reality: Avatars, Eternal Life, New Worlds, and the Dawn of the Virtual Revolution, speaking at MICA Talks on May 7. Bailenson is also the director of Stanford University’s Virtual Human Interaction Lab.

“We have run 30 or 40 studies to find out,” he said.

One of the areas studied was how people are affected by the appearance of their avatars.

“Beauty is free in virtual world,” said Bailenson. Users can make their avatars as attractive – or unattractive – as they wish.

But despite the fact that the attractive avatars are completely fictional, people using them act friendlier and more extraverted than less attractive ones, he said. And not just while they were in the virtual world. The effects were still felt an hour after the users had logged off, Bailenson said.”

Flaggan sig berättar en intressant historia om landets olika ”partners”:

”Flaggan tillkom 1821. Norge var från och med 1397 och fram till 1814 i union med det danska riket, och flaggan bygger i grunden på den danska Dannebrogen. Flaggan har även ett infällt blått kors som symboliserar Norges dåvarande union med Sverige, en union som varade åren 1814–1905. Det blå infällda korset är betydligt mörkare än Sveriges nuvarande flagga. Detta beror på att Sveriges flagga före 1905 var mörkare än den är idag. Färgerna rött-vitt-blått var även symboler för stater vars statsskick byggde på folkrepresentation, till exempel Frankrike, USA, Storbritannien och Nederländerna.[1] Flaggan är en nordisk korsflagga, vilket innebär att den vertikala korsarmen är något förskjuten inåt (mot flaggstången), och flaggan ansluter därmed till övriga nordiska flaggors utformning. Norges flagga används även på Jan Mayen och Svalbard som ingår i det norska riket och som saknar egna flaggor.”

Kul med nytt svenskt LIVE i Secondlife. Svenska Liveartister är en raritet. Men nu skall det ske igen.


Det är Umeåtjejjen som är från Bredbyn, som ligger cirka 40 km nordväst om Örnsköldsvik. 63°27′N 18°6′O som kommer att livespoela på måndagsbörsen nästa måndag.

Emma som numera bor i Stockholm och som skall uppträda på Måndagsbörsen nästa vecka. Allt enligt en alldeles ny intervju med Blanche på hennes blogg.
